Creative Director
Editor-In-Chief
Andrew Jamieson is a Montreal-based multidisciplinary artist (and classically trained triple threat) whose work primarily focuses on immersive storytelling experiences. He is the creator of “Lethal and Young”, “Who’s Afraid”, and “Bed of Nails”. His next immersive project, “Monumentum”, is currently in development. Andrew is also a private acting and public speech coach.
Editor-At-Large
Editor at Large Dawn McSweeney is a mother, a novelist, a comedian, and essayist. Arts and community are priorities she holds dear, the webbing that keeps us in our humanity. She's been writing for Forget The Box since before it was cool.
Community Ambassador
Abby Stonehouse is a podcaster, producer, and staple in the local Montreal stand-up comedy scene.
Managing Editor
Candice spends her days noticing the little things, dog-earing pages of her favourite books, and sipping iced vanilla lattes. A writer, artist, daydreamer, and emotional being, her greatest passion is the craft of beautiful words.
We acknowledge that Forget The Box is physically located, and covers art and culture upon, unceded Indigenous lands. The Kanien’kehá:ka Nation is recognized as the custodians of the lands and waters on which we gather today. Tiohtià:ke/Montréal is historically known as a gathering place for many First Nations. Today, it is home to a diverse population of Indigenous and other peoples. We respect the continued connections with the past, present and future in our ongoing relationships with Indigenous and other peoples within the Montreal community.
Forget The Box (.net) was originally founded in 2009 by Jason C. McLean, Jerry Gabriel, Stephanie Laughlin, Chris Zacchia, and Laurence Tenenbaum. Conceived as "an independent media collective that strives to provide a forum for voices excluded from the mainstream media", Forget The Box (.net) closed in February 2023.
