I don't have one but Bill Burr's is pretty good: https://billburr.com/
Where in Montreal are you located?
Shaughnessy/Little Burgundy
What do you love about that neighborhood?
It's convenient to get to shows, I guess ! That's about it and that's what's important... I work in the Mile End though and BASICALLY live there, that's a cool neighbourhood especially for the community aspect which is lacking from mine ;(
What’s your favourite art space in Montreal and why?
Theatre St. Catherine, Artloft and Depanneur Cafe : any hybrid art space! That's quintessential Montreal. I feel like that represents our city (especially cause of the lack of affordable art spaces RIP) and I love discovering new ones. So if you have any ceramic cafe-bike repair shop where I can climb the walls to recommend, send me suggestions.
Describe your art in your own words.
I wouldn't describe it, but the Italians would describe it as Sprezzatura.
What have you been working on recently?
Myself.
I'm trying to work on more alt projects at the moment ! Mostly finding innovative ways to incorporate elements of Late Night Talk Shows into live comedy performances. I'm a big fan of the Eric Andre Show and Ziwe for their ability to push boundaries and I love SATIRE (keep that in mind while reading this article) so that's definitely where I'm going with it. Still trying to see where I fit into all of that and what works best for my voice so I'm having fun with different collabs in the meantime. Right now I've been co-hosting shows with Adrienne Roy and they've been pretty epic. You can follow us @corporatecircuspresents! We actually have a show coming up on Tuesday January 21st at Montreal Improv.
What inspired you to get into stand up comedy?
The logical fallacies of modern life.
What inspires your joke writing?
How logically fallacious modern life is.
Who is your favourite comedian right now?
Like right now, right now, pretty obsessed with Pat Burtscher after opening for him last week at The Nest. He has a really unique style and is super free on stage and it was just really fun to perform on the same show.
What is the best joke you’ve ever written?
I hope I haven't written it yet.
What’s your favorite Montreal room and why?
The bathroom at Mainline Theatre @mainlinebathroom
